Reason behind DIG Nawaraj Silwal in police custody

A police team deployed from the Nepal Police headquarters on Monday has taken Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nawaraj Silwal in custody. SSP Sarbendra Khanal, spokesperson of the Nepal Police, said that DIG Silwal was apprehended for investigation into the case in which he was accused of forging performance evaluation form. DIG Silwal was holding legal consultation with senior advocate Sambhu Thapa at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar when police apprehended him this morning.
