Drivers face challenges with "No horn" ban

Due to the no horn ban campaign the divers are facing many problems. In a bid to mitigate notorious noise pollution in Kathmandu Valley, the Metropolitan Traffic Police Department (MTPD) in conjunction with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) are working to ban the use of pressure horns except during emergencies. The decision, which was made public on April 3, aims to combat the Valley's deafening traffic noises. Many drivers and motorists blow horn during and after every maneuver and when stuck in traffic. Most of the honking from vehicles is said to be avoidable and has been contributing unnecessarily to the ever-growing noise pollution.
